Focus: PADI or SSI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Vilingili

Arrival: Arrive at Velana International Airport and transfer to Vilingili by boat.

Check-in: Settle into your beachside guesthouse and receive a warm welcome with tropical refreshments.

Evening: Meet your dive instructor for a course briefing and registration. Enjoy a relaxing welcome dinner featuring local Maldivian dishes by the ocean.

Day 2: Dive Theory & Confined Water Training

Morning: Start the day with a dive theory session – either continue your pre-completed eLearning or begin in-person lessons.

Midday: Gear up for confined water training in a calm lagoon or pool, learning essential dive skills step by step under your instructor’s guidance.

Afternoon: Continue practicing buoyancy, mask clearing, and other vital techniques.

Evening: Relax with a sunset beach walk, preparing for the next day’s adventures.

Day 3: Open Water Training Dives

Morning: Begin your first open water dive at a shallow reef, focusing on practicing skills in real dive conditions.

Afternoon: Return to the water for your second dive, enhancing your confidence and exploring coral gardens filled with marine life.

Evening: Unwind by the beach with tropical refreshments.

Day 4: Final Dives and Certification

Morning: Complete your final two training dives, solidifying the skills learned throughout the course.

Afternoon: Return to the dive center for a certification ceremony, officially becoming a PADI/SSI Open Water Diver.

Celebration Dive: Join your group for a fun dive at one of Vilingili’s vibrant reefs to celebrate your achievement.

Evening: Enjoy a beachside farewell dinner with your dive instructor and fellow divers.

Day 5: Optional Adventure

Morning: Choose between a fun dive at Banana Reef, one of the Maldives’ most iconic dive sites known for its vibrant corals and abundant marine life, or attend a marine conservation presentation. The session highlights the Maldives’ unique ocean ecosystems, local conservation efforts, and the importance of protecting marine biodiversity.

Afternoon: An educational city tour of Male, the Capital of Maldives.

Day 6: Farewell & Departure

Morning: Take a final swim or snorkel before your speedboat transfer back to Velana International Airport.
