What certifications and licenses does your company hold for diving operations? +
Splash Maldives is a registered company, established in 2015 by the Economic Ministry of the Maldives. It holds a travel agency operating license issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives, and is tax registered with MIRA (Maldives Inland Revenue Authority).
Do you comply with international diving safety standards (e.g., PADI, SSI, NAUI)? +
All diving operations follow PADI and SSI standards, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized safety regulations. Including local law.
How are your instructors trained and certified? What is their experience level? +
Our instructors and dive guides are certified PADI and SSI professionals with extensive experience in Maldivian waters. They undergo regular safety training, emergency response drills, and continuous professional development to maintain the highest level of expertise.
What safety protocols do you have in place in case of emergencies? +
We have a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan (EAP) in place at all dive sites. This includes:
• Emergency oxygen kits and first aid at all dive sites
• Staff trained in CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration
• Established coordination with nearby hospitals and decompression chambers
What is your equipment maintenance process, and how often is it checked/replaced? +
All dive equipment undergoes regular maintenance and inspections:
• Daily checks on regulators, BCDs, and tanks before every dive
• Monthly servicing for all major gear
• Annual hydrostatic testing for dive tanks
• Equipment replacement follows manufacturer guidelines to maintain top safety standards
Do you have first aid and emergency medical response procedures at your dive sites? +
Our boats and dive centres are equipped with:

Can you customize diving experiences based on different skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced)? +
Yes, we tailor experiences for all levels:
• Beginner: Open Water Diver & Advanced Open Water courses
• Intermediate & Advanced: Shark dives, manta encounters, wreck dives, and deep dives
• Specialized: Underwater photography, videography, freediving, and private diving sessions
What are the group sizes and instructor-to-diver ratios? +
Small groups (max 4-6 divers per instructor) to ensure a personal and safe experience during courses. Apart from instructors there are divemasters to assist the instructor during courses and when fun diving.

What locations do you operate in, and what dive sites are included? +
Splash Maldives operates across multiple atolls, including:
• Kaaf Atoll: Kandooma Thila, Cocoa Thila
• Vaavu Atoll: Miyaru Kandu, Alimatha Night Dive
• Ari Atoll: Maaya Thila, Fish Head, Moofushi Manta Point
How do you handle bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling? +
Deposit & Payment Terms
• A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking.
• The remaining 60% balance must be paid at least 30 days before arrival.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. If cancelled more than 30 days before arrival – 60% refund (only the balance paid; deposit is non-refundable).
2.If cancelled less than 30 days before arrival:
  • • 30 to 15 days before arrival – 30% refund of the total booking amount.
  • • 14 to 8 days before arrival – 10% refund of the total booking amount.
  • • 7 days or less before arrival – No refund.

Booking, Cancellations & Rescheduling:
• Bookings can be made via email, or through travel partners
• Flexible rescheduling for weather-related cancellations

Refund policy varies:
• 100% refund for cancellations 30+ days in advance
• 50% refund for 15-29 days
• No refund for last-minute cancellations
What gear and equipment do you provide, and is it included in the package? +
• We provide high-quality standard dive gear, including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins, and dive computers
• Underwater Photography & videography gear available upon request at extra cost.
Do you have insurance coverage for divers and operators? +
• Liability insurance for divers and operators at extra cost
• DAN (Divers Alert Network) recommended for individual divers
What transportation options are available between hotels, dive sites, and airports? +
• Speedboat transfers between hotels, dive sites, and airports
